Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• DAY: 1 DEPART – BUTARE – NYUNGWE

  • Early morning pickup after breakfast at 5am and depart for western province which is about 5
    hours away. Stop over at the Kings Palace and the Ethnographic Museum and explore the
    history, traditional culture of Rwanda.
  • Have lunch depart for Nyungwe Forest arrive in evening and check into Nyungwe Top View
    Lodge or similar

• DAY 2 CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

  • Early morning pickup at 4.30am to trek Chimpanzee which are most easily seen in the early
    morning hours You are allowed one hour with the chimpanzee
  • After trekking have lunch and proceed to participate in an exciting walk on the canopy which is
    suspended 70meters above the forest.
  • After a beautiful canopy walk and view of the forest return to your hotel for overnight

• DAY 3 TEA PLANTATION – RUBAVU BEACH

  • Early morning pickup after breakfast and drive to Gisakura tea plantation. Experience the
    planting, harvesting and processing of tea
  • Depart for Rubavu with beautiful view of Lake Kivu and check in to the Kivu Serena Hotel
  • Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach
  • Dinner and overnight at Hotel

• DAY 4 DRIVE BACK KIGALI FOR DEPARTURE

  Depart to Kigali after breakfast, Arrive Kigali in time for Airport transfer for departure.
